Welcome to Sweden's greatest national beer event solely focused on independent craft beer.
The Swedish craft beer scene is vibrant and flourishing, growing by the minute and top-ranked internationally. With over 300 existing craft breweries in the country the range is wide, there’s always something for everyone. With Great Swedish Beer Festival we want to celebrate our national craft breweries and all their great beers. We may not be the biggest or the coolest festival out there, but when it comes to craft beer brewed by an independent Swedish brewery, we’re definitely the greatest. Join the Swedish craft beer revolution.

Why isn't there a beer festival at Sweden's coolest event venue, we wondered. Well, now there is. Slagthuset MMX, in the middle of Malmö, is by far the the most optimal venue for a great beer festival.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUDGE IS GREAT SWEDISH BEER FESTIVAL?
Great Swedish Beer Festival is a day full of beer, both classics and new and experimental from around 100 of Sweden's most prominent independent breweries. But why stop it there? There's also food, fun and music, basically something for everyone, just like the Swedish craft beer scene. We will release all updates on our social media channels so be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
SOUNDS LIKE MUSIC TO MY THROAT, HOW DO I GET IN?
The tickets will be released march 8 at 10 am and will be sold through ticketmaster.se. The day is divided in to 2 sessions and you can buy a ticket for either one of them or both.
COOL, COOL, COOL, COOL. AND THE BEER STUFF, MORE ABOUT THAT PLEASE?
Every beer will be poured by the brewer and each brewery will serve 4 different kinds of beer throughout the day, 2 at the Yellow Session and 2 at the blue session. We will use digital mobile tokens(iOS and Android compatible) which means that you can load your "wallet" before the festival and start the beer drinking right away, no need for a token line. For those of you who do not have a smartphone we will provide with an alternative system.
HOW TO BUY BEER AT GREAT SWEDISH BEER FESTIVAL
1. Download the app TICKETCO WALLET on your smartphone
2. Log in and add your credit/debet card
3. Click "CASHLESS" and search for Great Swedish Beer Festival
4. Top-up your TicketCo wallet
5. Buy beer with your QR code found under "USE" in the app!.
OKAY, BUT THERE ARE BEER DRINKERS AND THERE ARE BEER LOVERS, WHAT ABOUT THE LATTER? HOW DO WE GET MOOORE OF THE GOOD?
We're glad you asked. For a starter you can buy tickets for both sessions, there will be different beers poured at each session. And if you feel like that's not enough, you will be able to buy a "Beer Lover" pass for the second session, which means that you will get early access by ONE(!) hour and also be invited to the after party with the brewers. Doesn't get much cooler, does it?
SMELLS LIKE THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR. CAN I BRING MY FRIENDS, NEIGHBOURS, FAMILY AND PETS?
Bring anyone you want, as long as they're over 20 years old, got their own tickets and are human beings of any sort (we know there's beer for dogs, but it wont be served here).
